DOZATEK Usage Table by Plant Group

The following table serves as a general guide for foliar and soil (drip) DOZATEK applications in different plant groups. The exact dose and number of applications should always be clarified under the control of an Agricultural Engineer, taking into account soil and leaf analysis, climate, and variety characteristics.

Usage Area / Plant Group Application Time Application Method and Dosage – Foliar Application Method and Dosage – Soil (Drip Irrigation)
All Greenhouse and Covered Vegetables
Tomato, pepper, cucumber, eggplant, zucchini, etc.
To establish vegetative-generative balance:
  • First application approximately 3 weeks after planting.
  • Subsequently, 2–4 applications every 21 days.
  • Additional support can be applied during stress periods (cold, heat, salinity).
Dose:
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • 0.8 L for young seedlings; can be increased up to 1 L during vigorous growth periods.
  • Fine misting / small droplet size nozzle is preferred.
Drip Application:
  • 2–3 L/da DOZATEK in each application.
  • It is recommended to apply with at least 300–500 L/da of irrigation water.
  • Can be mixed with N, P, K fertilizers in the fertilizer tank; a mixing test should first be performed in a small container with highly acidic products.
All Field Vegetables
Tomato, pepper, eggplant, cucumber, etc.
  • First application before flowering.
  • During the flowering period and immediately after, 2–3 applications every 15 days.
  • In extended seasons, 1 additional application can be made during harvest intervals.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • It is recommended to apply in the cool of the evening or in the early morning hours.
  • Homogeneous coverage should be targeted to ensure contact with the underside of the leaves.
  • 2–3 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • While the drip line is open, it should be applied during the first 1/3 of the irrigation cycle, followed by flushing the system with clean water.
All Winter Vegetables:
Iceberg, lettuce, curly lettuce, spinach, leek, cabbage, etc.
  • First application when the plants reach the 3–4 leaf stage.
  • Second application 15 days later, and if necessary, a 3rd application during the heading stage.
  • 0.7–0.9 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • It is recommended not to apply before nights with a risk of frost and to prefer application during the warming hours of the day.
  • 1.5–2.5 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • In heavy and water-retaining soils, dosages should remain near the lower limit, and frequent applications should be preferred.
Cut Floriculture & Strawberry
  • Start 3 weeks after planting.
  • Every 21 days, 2–3 applications are performed.
  • Additional application can be made in strawberries at the beginning of flowering and during fruit set.
  • 0.6–0.8 L DOZATEK per 100 L of water (the upper limit should not be exceeded during the flowering period).
  • For sensitive species such as roses and carnations, a small trial plot is recommended first.
  • 1.5–2.5 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • In periods when soil moisture is very low, it is beneficial to perform a short pre-irrigation before application.
Melon, Watermelon, Squash/Pumpkin
  • One application before flowering.
  • After flowering and during the fruit enlargement period, 2–3 applications every 15 days.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • In areas with a high risk of sunburn, late afternoon application should be preferred.
  • 2–3 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • Due to the shallow root structure, the irrigation period should not be kept long, and the dosage should be strictly followed.
All Tuberous and Root Crops:
Potato, onion, garlic, carrot, radish, sugar beet, etc.
  • First application when leaf area begins to form.
  • 2–3 applications every 15 days during the tuber initiation period.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • If the leaf surface is dusty, cleaning with light sprinkling before application is beneficial.
  • 2–3 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • For sandy soils, the dosage can be selected slightly lower compared to heavy clay soils.
In Vineyards (Grapevines)
  • One application before flowering.
  • 1 additional application during the berry set period.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • It should be applied during hours when there is good air circulation within the clusters.
  • 2–3 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • It should be planned to be compatible with the basal fertilizers in the annual maintenance program.
All Pome and Stone Fruits:
Apple, pear, apricot, peach, plum, cherry, etc.
  • 1 application before flowering and when entering the full bloom stage.
  • 2–3 applications every 15 days during the fruit enlargement period.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • When mixing with pesticides, label information and a compatibility test must strictly be taken into account.
  • 2–3 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • In established orchards, the dosage per individual tree should be calculated based on the size of the tree.
Citrus, Banana, Hazelnut, Olive, Fig, Pistachio, Almond
  • 2–3 applications every 15 days before flowering, after flowering, and during the fruit enlargement period.
  • In fields where the risk of small fruit drop is high, post-flowering application should not be neglected.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • A dose of 0.7–0.8 L for young trees and 1 L for trees in full production can be preferred.
  • 2–3 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • If the drip line is a single row, the entire dose is applied to the line; in double-row systems, half the dose is applied per row.
All Legumes:
Chickpea, bean, lentil, soybean, peanut, etc.
  • 2–3 applications every 15 days after the first hoeing and before plant canopy closure.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • Since the leaf surface of legumes is thin, application should be avoided at high temperatures.
  • 1.5–2.5 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • In nitrogen-fixing species, a balanced program should be created in coordination with nitrogenous basal fertilizers.
All Industrial Crops:
Cotton, corn, tea, sunflower, tobacco, etc.
  • 2–3 applications every 15 days after hoeing and until the row closure period.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • Since spray loss will occur under strong winds and intense sun, applications should be carried out in calm weather.
  • 2–3 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • In deep-rooted species such as cotton and corn, the dose can be divided according to the irrigation interval.
All Field Crops (Cereals):
Wheat, barley, paddy (rice), oats, etc.
  • One application together with herbicides or during the tillering stage.
  • On plots where high yield is targeted, a second application can be performed before heading.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • Label and pH values must strictly be checked in pesticide tank mixes.
  • In areas with irrigation facilities, 1.5–2.5 L/da can be applied via drip irrigation.
In Green Areas and Forage Crops: Alfalfa, Sainfoin, Vetch
  • One application is made 10 days after each cutting.
  • In areas with an intensive cutting schedule, 3–4 applications throughout the season are sufficient.
  • 0.8–1 L DOZATEK per 100 L water.
  • When the plant height is 15–20 cm, the coverage is more homogeneous since the leaf area is sufficient.
  • 1.5–2.5 L/da applied via drip irrigation.
  • In grazed pastures, livestock should not be allowed access for at least 7–10 days after application.

Notes: The specified ranges are general recommendations. Lower doses should be preferred for young seedlings, plants under stress, and saline/heavy soils; whereas mid-to-upper doses should be preferred for healthy plants where vigorous growth and high yield are targeted. Always create a program with your Agricultural Engineer for correct and safe use.
